HOLCIM PORO POINT PIER REHABILITATION
The project involves the rehabilitation of the existing 200m x 20m jetty owned by Holcim Philippines and located at the Poro Point in San Fernando, La Union. The existing jetty was constructed in 1994 and exhibited extensive signs of concrete deterioration. The existing rubber fendering system was already non-functional due to dilapidation.

Repair and strengthening of the existing damaged concrete piles was performed by applying epoxy injection and glass fiber-reinforced polymer. The existing fendering system was replaced by new and modern technology fenders using high grade rubber suitable for a cargo ship of 30,000 DWT.

ACO performed the detailed engineering design and construction supervision services for the project.
